When making this work, Mike was deeply influenced by elements of Classical Persian Art and Poetry that describe the exquisite beauty of the night sky, the immensity of creation, and the insignificance of human life in the macrocosm of the universe. A landslide in Greenland (2024) caused by climate change sent vibrations through the Earth, shaking the planet and generating seismic waves that travelled all around the globe, within an hour of the event.
